I've been thinking about 'work life' balance today and wondering if it really does exist - or whether the definition is fluid, depending upon how you feel. I'm quite privileged to be able to work in a job that I am passionate about, one that doesn't truly feel like work as I am able to bring the energy and enthusiasm to it every day. Better yet, I work from home!
But working from home does have its downfalls. For example, there is no clear boundary in my day for when work finishes. It could be 9pm and I'll answer some emails or pack orders in an effort to make tomorrow easier for me. Before you know it, it's midnight!
Does this matter? Well, yes and no.
At this point in time it does not bother me as I am energised by this work. It doesn't "feel" like work. Maybe if I had night after night working late (and losing sleep) it would be a problem.
So to me, I consider my work life to be balanced as I am happy in both places - my work and also my time outside of work.
How about you? I know I have a few followers that have side hustles. How do you balance work and life?
